‘She Inspires’
International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 8 and represents a day where the achievements of women are recognized. In addition, International Women’s Day reinforces the need for gender equality and gender equity. The Bureau of Gender Affairs, working closely with Mr. Sherwood McCaskie, produced five audiovisual pieces under the theme ‘She Inspires’ which were aired every Monday in March 2025 on CBC and social media. The production highlighted women who have been or currently in areas of employment that are usually male dominated, and served as an inspiration to other women who may be seeking to enter such male dominated spaces.
